Hi, I’m Lauren
I share my extensive piano skills and knowledge with adults to enable them to reach their musical and personal goals.
About Your Teacher
Lauren Carey Kevin
A life-long musician, I have been playing the piano for three decades.
Following my training in Piano Performance at the prestigious Conservatorium of Music in Melbourne, Australia, I have performed, arranged and composed music across classical and contemporary styles.
I began teaching the piano in 2010 and over the years have taught in Australia, the United Kingdom and my homeland of New Zealand.
In 2023, I combined my skills to launch specialist adult piano lessons in the online space.
I would love to connect with you and join you on your piano journey - from here in Sydney, Australia to wherever you are in the world!
“Each person is unique - and I believe that piano lessons should reflect this, adapting to meet the individual wherever they are at.”
— Lauren Carey Kevin
Hear Me Play
My skills as a pianist are an essential asset in supporting my students to reach their goals.
It is a privilege to share my experience at the piano with my students.
I demonstrate specific piano techniques, create tailored exercises, and draw on my broad understanding of music performance to inform my students in their interpretation of both classical and contemporary music.
As a piano teacher, my focus is on developing independent pianists. I often refer to my practical experience of different approaches when talking about a passage of music, so that you understand how to “think” piano and make musical decisions for yourself.
